I got a secret note the other day.
When Mommy and I were bye-bye at the Big Place With Many Toys, I got close to another stroller and a boy that was just a little bigger than me gave me a note.
It is supposed to be a big secret, but I know I can tell you, Diary.
It said: "Daniel. You have been two years old for a few days now. It is now your job to say "no" to everything. You must start to do this right away."
Gosh. I am glad I got that note.
I will work on my "No"s right away.

There Is No Spoon
I have a secret from Mommy!
Shhhhhh! No telling!!!
Mommy thinks I don't know how to use a spoon to eat.... but I DO! I just don't wanna!
Today I mighta made a boo-boo though.
We were bye-bye and Mommy got me some yummy ice cream and she was feeding it to me.
But then Mommy started talking to Aunt Kahkee and forgot to put the ice cream in my mouth.
I really needed to have it, so I took the spoon and put the ice cream in my mouth myself.
Mommy didn't seem to notice right away, but then when she did she said "DANIEL! What are you doing? You won't use a spoon at home!"
I just did my bestest pretending that I wasn't doing anything diffrent.
I think I did a good job, so maybe Mommy won't bemember that I used a spoon for my ice cream.
So if she asks you if you have seen me use a spoon, you must say "NO!" "NO SPOON!"
Ok?

PREE LIGHTS & NOMAN!!!
Something great is happening!!!!!!!!!!!
When we go bye-bye at night time there are many many pree lights!!!!
One day a house near my house looked like it always does, but then the next day it was covered with many pree lights and had a giant NOMAN on the grass!!!!
It was so great!!
I didn't want to stop looking at it, but Mommy drove away anyway. So I yelled "MORE MORE" so she would know I wanted to see more pree lights.
Many of the houses also have the Noman -- and I always tell Mommy by yelling "NOMAN" to make sure she sees it too.
One of the bestest things is that one day when we got to my house there were pree lights on MY house!!! And I can even see them when I am inside! It is very great.
I start asking for the pree lights as soon as I wake up... but Mommy keeps saying they won't be on until it is night time. I don't know why I should wait. I want to see them NOW! And all day long!

Baybee DOWN!
My idea to put my Bestest Friend Monkey on Mommy's lap so there is no room for Baybee is not working.
This morning Mommy was AGAIN holding Baybee.
Baybee always gets to be held by Mommy.
A lot of the time I don't want Mommy to hold me because she won't stop cuddling when I want, but now I can't even pretend I want Mommy to hold me because she already has Baybee!
So I decided to tell Mommy the way I need things.
I went over to her and I pointed to Baybee and said "DOWN!"
Mommy looked at me and said "But I am holding Baybee, you have to share Mommy."
"DOWN!" I said again with my mostest powerful voice. And I pointed to Baybee again.
Mommy just looked at me some more.
Then she said "You want me to put Baybee down?"
"YETH!" I said!!!!
Mommy said she would try to let us share her, and she put Baybee on the couch next to her, then she let me up in her lap with my Bestest Friend.
That will teach Baybee.
I always get to have Mommy when I want.

Uh Oh Baybee!!!
Oh, Diary!!! What should I tell you first?
So many things have been happening. And it is all so strange.
For a long time mommy didn't feel very good, and for some reason her lap kept getting smaller. I kept looking for all my balls, because I thought mommy was playing a game and hiding them under her shirt. But I never found them there.
Then, for a couple weeks we kept going bye-bye to a big building that mommy said I was at when I was a tiny baby.
Mommy was no fun to play with and Bruhver and Sitter played with me a lot.
I also got to see Granma and Aunt Kahkee a lot, which was great.
Then, one day when it was still dark outside, I went bye-bye with Granma and Aunt Kahkee.
We all went to the big building again, and then we sat in a place with tables and chairs for a long time. Aunt Kahkee gave me a new phone and I had much fun calling all my girlfriends on it.
After many hours of playing games and watching my Melmo videos, Aunt Kahkee and Granma took me to another room where mommy was!!!!
Mommy was lying in bed and everyone was looking at something mommy was holding.
And this is where it gets really strange.
Mommy was holding something that looked like a dolly and they kept calling it "Baybee."
Mommy and Daddy had given me a dolly a very very long time ago when I was a smaller boy, and they called it "baybee" -- but I didn't like it.
It was boring and I pretended it wasn't there and played with my truck instead.
I am gonna pretend this Baybee isn't there too.
Daddy held me and pointed to Baybee and asked if I wanted it, and I said "NO NO BAYBEE!"
But they didn't listen to me!
Many days later Mommy came home, but she brought Baybee with her!!
Everyone kept looking at Baybee and wanting to hold Baybee and telling me to be nice to Baybee.
I was hoping Baybee would go away, but he is still here.
Mommy and Daddy hold him a lot, and sometimes he is very noisy!
He has even woke me up from my nigh-nigh!!
But the worst thing of all, Diary, is that once we went to the store -- and the lady I was smiling at talked to Baybee and looked at Baybee and never looked at me!!!
I was giving her my bestest cute smiles, and she didn't see them!
I am trying to be nice to Baybee, and sometimes I even help Mommy by giving her Baybee's binky or blankee.
But I still like it best when Mommy doesn't have Baybee in her lap.
I think tomorrow I will put all my Bestest Friend Monkeys on her so there will be no room for Baybee.

Uh Oh Night Night
I don't know what is going wrong.
I was doing nigh nigh the way I like it, but mommy didn't do it my way tonight!
When mommy puts me to nigh nigh I cry and cry until she then gets me and we lay on her bed and watch my shows on the big TV. It is so nice. I get to do some cuddling with mommy and Bestest Friend Monkey and binky while watching shows.
She always is done with big tv before me -- and I try to tell her by crying -- but I don't think she hears me.
But when daddy puts me nigh nigh I don't bother to cry.
I know daddy won't do the big tv cuddling.
So I just go to sleep.
For many nights daddy was home to put me nigh nigh so I just had to listen to my Elmo la-las and go to sleep.
But finally tonight it was just mommy again.
So, I cried and cried like always.
But mommy didn't come in!
I cried and cried more and I got really upset. I even yelled at her and hit my bed with my hands.
Then mommy came in... but she didn't even pick me up!!!!!!
All she did was give me a hug and then say "Daniel it is nigh nigh time, I won't come in again."
WHAT???
What is going wrong!?!?!?
I don't understand.
I thought mommy knew what I wanted!!!
I was upset but I could tell she was telling the truth. So I decided to go to sleep after a couple minutes.
I'll try again tomorrow though.
She probably wasn't really serious about not coming in again. I probably gave up too easy.
Maybe she didn't hear how upset I was.
I will cry longer tomorrow.

A Great New Game!
I have a great new game I am playing with mommy!
I took one of her shoes and made it go bye-bye in a secret place!
Mommy was looking all over for her shoe. She asked me if I knew where it was, but I pretended to be too busy with my toys.
It is so great to be playing with mommy like this.
I think she is having fun.

Ooooooo
I was going nigh-nigh yesterday when all of a sudden my light and my la-la music went bye-bye!
I wasn't asleep yet, so I decided to cry cause it was kinda scary.
When sister took me out of my room I couldn't see anything! And then I saw brother and mommy with little sticks that had light on it.
Mommy then gave me a little stick with a light and it was great! Where ever I went the light was there! I decided to run all around to see what my room and the hall and the kitchen and the living room and the kitties and my toys and brother and everything looked like with this little light! I ran and ran and ran. Sometimes I fell down went boom cause I couldn't see a toy on the floor -- but I just laughed cause it was so great to run and run with the little light!
Later all the big lights turned on again and then mommy said I didn't need the little light and it was nigh-nigh time.
I was very sad!
I was having so much fun!
I hope mommy decides to turn all the big lights off again soon!!

My Favorite Words
I have decided to work on some of my words.
These are some of my favorites so far:
* yeth -- so I can say "yes" to things
* dohw dar -- means "downstairs" cause I want to go play with brother and sister
* bov ber -- means "brother" so I can ask him to come play with me
* baah-oo -- means "balloon" so I can play with my balloon or ask for one
* bah bah -- of course is for when I want to go bye bye
* keee -- so I can talk about kitty kat
I have a lot of other words I like too, but I don't feel like saying them. Mommy is always bothering me to say them, so I don't want to.

* cheeseburger
* hungry
* drink
